Attorney Scott Ehrenworth represented a man facing life imprisonment in a 2-day jury trial, during the pandemic, alleging home invasion and armed robbery. Our client faced 10 charges, and in less than an hour, the jury found him not guilty on all counts.
The allegations against our client were serious. According to the 54-year-old alleged victim, our client and another man broke into his home, held him at gunpoint, pistol-whipped him, and demanded $500. After a struggle, the robbers allegedly took $800 from the victim’s wallet and bank account. The alleged victim told WTKR he was able to escape to his neighbor’s house, and the suspects fled soon afterward.
Although the incident occurred in April of 2018, our client was not tried until January 2021. Additionally, our client was facing life imprisonment for the charges against him.
Fortunately, our firm had an opportunity to question the evidence and present our client’s side of the story. After less than an hour, the jury sided with our client.
